Use Posteora from Meta Muse

Muse can build its own connector to any service with a public server. Posteora has one, so Muse can draft posts in your voice, show you what they'll cost, and schedule posts or whole threads to the networks you've connected — X, Bluesky, Mastodon, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok and YouTube.

There's nothing to install and no developer account. It takes about two minutes.

1. Connect your networks

In Posteora, connect the social accounts you want Muse to post to. Muse can only reach networks that are connected here.

2. Paste this into Muse

Build a custom integration to XposterAI. It is a remote MCP server at https://xposterai.com/mcp (streamable HTTP). It authenticates with one header: Authorization: Bearer <my XposterAI API key>. Ask me for that key through your secure credential prompt, not in this chat. Setup notes written for you are at https://xposterai.com/muse/brief.txt - read them first. I want you to be able to write posts in my voice, preview them, and schedule or publish them (text, threads, pictures and video) to my connected social networks from any future conversation.

My rules:
- Call accounts.list first, then always post.preview before publishing or scheduling.
- Tell me the exact credit cost and wait for my approval before anything goes out.
- At most 2 X posts per day. No links in X post text unless I insist.

When I attach an image or video:
- Upload the file yourself, straight to XposterAI: HTTP POST https://xposterai.com/mcp/media with the same Authorization header and the file as multipart form field "file". It returns a media_id.
- Pass that id as media_ids in post.preview, then in post.schedule or post.publish. It stays valid for as long as the post is queued.
- Never ask me for a public link, and never put my files on a third-party host (filebin, imgur and the like). Use media_url only when I give you a link that is already public.
- Limits: JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF up to 5 MB; MP4 or MOV up to 100 MB, and X takes video up to 140 seconds.

Connect to it, test it by calling accounts.list and credits.get, show me the results, and save all of the above as a reusable skill.

The message carries your ground rules (preview first, cost before anything goes out, two X posts a day) and tells Muse how to send pictures and video: straight to Posteora, never through a public file-sharing site.

Connected before September 20? Paste this once

Muse saved the older instructions, which said Posteora only takes links, so it may have been pushing your pictures through a public file host. This switches it to the direct upload:

Update your XposterAI skill. Re-read https://xposterai.com/muse/brief.txt - XposterAI now takes files directly. From now on, when I attach an image or video: upload the file yourself with an HTTP POST to https://xposterai.com/mcp/media (same Authorization header, multipart form field "file"), then pass the media_id it returns as media_ids in post.preview and post.schedule or post.publish. Never ask me for a public link, and stop using filebin or any other third-party host for my files. Save this as part of the skill and tell me when it is done.

3. Give Muse your API key — in its secure prompt

Muse will ask how to sign in. Your key is on your Account page under “Connect an AI assistant”. Put it in Muse's secure credential prompt, not in the chat: anything typed into a chat stays in its history. The key is sent as one header, Authorization: Bearer ….

Lost control of a key? “Regenerate key” on the Account page cuts off every assistant using the old one at once.

What you'll see in Muse

We ran this setup end to end in Muse on September 19, 2026. It took about five minutes, and these are the screens that appear:

  1. Muse replies with a card called Xposterai – Connector. Click Connect, then Continue on the notice that says Meta doesn't review custom connectors.
  2. Paste your key into the secure box and confirm. If your browser then offers to save the password, choose Never — that's your browser, not Muse, and your API key doesn't belong in its password list.
  3. Muse asks “Allow Muse to share information with posteora.com?” for every single request. Choose Always allow this site, or it pauses and asks again each time.
  4. If Muse seems to have gone quiet, reload the chat. Its replies don't always appear on their own.

4. Check it, then use it

Muse should show you your connected networks and your credit balance as its test. After that, talk to it normally:

What to expect

For the technically curious

Endpoint https://posteora.com/mcp · Model Context Protocol over streamable HTTP · Bearer API key or OAuth 2.1 · full tool reference · brief for agents. The same server works with Claude, Claude Code and ChatGPT.
