Metricool is a social media planner built around reporting: analytics, competitor tracking and ad reporting come first, scheduling second, and it is priced per brand. It is a good fit if you send a report to a client or a boss every month. Posteora is a hosted posting agent: your assistant drafts and schedules, Posteora previews the cost, waits for your yes and posts. They overlap on scheduling and on MCP; they differ on reporting, on what X costs and on how the price scales.

| Metricool | Posteora | |
|---|---|---|
| Price, one person with 5 accounts | Starter for up to 5 brands: $25 a month, or $20 a month billed annually. X is an add-on at $10 a month per connected account on top of that | Pro: $19 a month, or $15 a month billed annually, for all 7 networks with 1 account each. X included |
| Free plan | Yes: 1 brand, 20 posts a month, 30 days of analytics, 5 competitor profiles, Metricool MCP. LinkedIn and X are not on the free plan | Yes, no card: 10 posts a month across all 7 networks including LinkedIn and X, 5 AI credits a day, the assistant included |
| Posts | Free: 20 a month. Paid: unlimited publishing under a fair use policy of 600 posts per brand per month | Pro: unlimited posts, fair use of 600 per network per month. Free: 10 a month |
| Networks | 12 listed on its pricing page, plus three ad platforms for reporting | 7: X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Mastodon, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube. Mastodon on any instance |
| AI assistant | Metricool MCP and its own assistant on every plan, including Free. Assistant credits are counted per brand per month and grow with the plan | MCP on both plans for Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code, with preview-then-approve and a cost receipt before anything is queued |
| Analytics | The core of the product: 30 days of history on Free and full history on paid plans, competitor analysis, ad reporting, a Data Studio connector on Advanced | Per-post analytics for X, Bluesky, Mastodon, YouTube and Pinterest. Not a reporting suite |
| API | On Advanced and up, from $67 a month or $53 a month billed annually for up to 15 brands, with Zapier and Make | REST API and webhooks on both plans at /docs/api |
Both products print their fair use line. Metricool's is 600 posts per brand per month; above that it reviews the account by hand and, while it does, you cannot publish. Posteora's is 600 posts per network per month, with daily caps per network so that no account trips a spam filter; the caps are on the pricing page. Metricool counts a brand as one business with one profile per network, so a second account on the same network is a second brand. On Posteora, a second account per network is a Studio tier feature.

You already work in Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code and want to say "post this" and approve a receipt, X and LinkedIn are part of your routine and you do not want to pay extra for them, and your networks are among the 7.
