Posteora vs Postiz

Postiz is an open-source social media scheduler you can run yourself or pay for as a service. Posteora is a hosted posting agent: your AI assistant drafts and schedules, Posteora previews the cost, waits for your yes and posts. They overlap on scheduling and on MCP; they differ on scope, price and how much you want to run yourself.

What Postiz has that Posteora does not

Where Posteora is different

Good to know

Postiz publishes a known-issues page; at the time of checking it listed X and TikTok connect pages that sometimes crash. Self-hosting gives you control of your data and your costs, and it also means you register your own developer apps on each network and keep Postgres, Redis and Temporal running. Posteora takes that work on and, in return, supports fewer networks and sets daily caps per network so that no account trips a spam filter; the caps are on the pricing page.

Who should pick which

Pick Postiz if

You need a network outside the 7 (the list above), you want per-post analytics in one place, you run a team, or you prefer to self-host and are happy running the stack.

Pick Posteora if

You already work in Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code and want to say "post this" and approve a receipt, your networks are among the 7, and you want a free plan with no card to find out whether that fits you.
